This trek has everything, a challenging trail, beautiful lakes, and reflections of high peaks on its waters, huge glaciers, high passes and reaching the base of Mount Everest. It is surely, one of the beautiful and challenging treks in the world.

The trekking expedition starts from Lukla. The first few days of trek will pass through many villages. The trail will pass by rivers and streams for several times in this trek. There are several hanging bridges that we need to cross during this trek. We will cross some beautiful monasteries and high altitude Sherpa villages. You will get clear views of several high peaks ranging from 6000 meters to 8000+ meters. Some of the highest ranked peaks are Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Ama Dablam, and Mount Cho Oyu. You will cross huge glaciers of Khumbu and Ngozumpa. The sight of these glaciers and Ice Falls are really huge and jaw dropping. You will walk through these ice falls and glaciers. You will get some of finest views of sun rises, sun sets and star full of skies.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m / 9, 184ft) and trek to Phakding (2,651m / 8,700 ft). 3-4 hours

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m / 11,280 ft). 6-7 hours

Day 4: Rest day at Namche Bazaar (3, 440 meters), Short Hiking

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4, 038m / 13, 248 ft). 6-7 hours

Day 6:  Dole to Machhermo (4,470 m/ 14,663 ft). 3-4 hours

Day 7:  Machhermo to Gokyo (4, 800 m / 15,744 ft). 5- 6 hours

Day 8: Gokyo to 5th Gokyo Lake.

Day 9:  Thangnak (4,750m / 15,580ft) after hiking Gokyo Ri (5,357m / 17,575 ft). 6-7 hours

Day 10: Thangnak to Zongla (4, 830m / 15,850 ft) via Chola Pass (5, 368m / 17,611 ft). 6-7 Hours

Day 11: Zongla to Lobuche (4, 940 m / 16,207 ft). 3-4 hours

Day 12: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,164 m / 16,942 ft) and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m / 17,598 ft). 7-8 hours

Day 13:  Pheriche (4,371 m / 14,340 ft) after Kala Patthar (5, 645m / 18,520ft) hike. 7-8 hours

Day 14: Pheriche to Namche.6-7 hours

Day 15:  Namche to Lukla. 6-7 hours

Day 16: Kathmandu.

Day 17: Departure.

Advisory

Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
Pay heed to the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the trek.
Avoid trekking during the nights.
Before undertaking the trek, consult a physician.
Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
